The Security Gap in AI-Generated Code
AI writes code that works — but rarely code that's secure. In our audits, 85% of AI-built apps have at least one security vulnerability.
The 15-Point Checklist
Authentication
- [ ] Passwords are hashed (check Supabase auth config)
- [ ] Email verification is required before access
- [ ] Session management works correctly
- [ ] Logout actually invalidates the session
Database
- [ ] RLS is enabled on every table
- [ ] RLS policies restrict to owning user
- [ ] No raw SQL injection points
- [ ] Database credentials aren't in client code
API / Backend
- [ ] All endpoints check authentication
- [ ] Rate limiting is configured
- [ ] Input validation exists server-side
- [ ] API keys are in environment variables
Frontend
- [ ] No secrets in client code
- [ ] CORS is configured correctly
- [ ] Content Security Policy headers set
The Fix
Run this prompt after building:
"Audit the entire app for security vulnerabilities. Check auth flows, database access, API endpoints, and client code for exposed secrets. Fix every issue found."
But AI won't catch everything. Get a professional Security Audit →
