Why You Need a Specialist
Regular developers may struggle with AI-generated code because:
- It follows different patterns than hand-written code
- Prompts are as important as code understanding
- Fixing AI output requires knowing what AI gets wrong
What to Look For
- Platform experience: Have they built with your AI tool (Lovable, Bolt, etc.)?
- Portfolio of AI apps: Can they show you apps they've fixed?
- Supabase knowledge: Most AI apps use Supabase
- React expertise: The generated code is React
- Prompt engineering skills: They should know how to get better AI output
